Fred (Frederick Law Olmsted)

I received Fred as a gift for my volunteer services at the Urbana Free Library in Urbana, Illinois. Fred, along with being a great friend, loves to travel. In fact, he has spent so much time in my car that he decided to permanently move into the back seat. Other than the occasional restroom pit stops and corny jokes, he's a good copilot for our Midwest adventures.

Fred loves to eat and sleep, especially on our long road trips between Urbana and DeKalb. Before each trip we'll usually stop at his favorite restaurant, the Courier Cafe, where he always orders the banana pancakes. Beyond pancakes and sleeping, Fred likes to climb trees and play soccer. He's also an avid lover of parks. I've actually lost him a few times at the park, only to find him sleeping under the shade or on the branch of a tree.

This past weekend Fred got to visit Chicago's Millennium Park for the first time, which only got him more excited to go to London. After his in-flight and post-flight nap, he wants to go to a park. I don't think he'll have too much trouble finding some great parks in London. I'm sure you'll be hearing more about Fred as he climbs his way through the city.

Hi

That was Fred.

 Black & White Object Isolation

This photograph of amazing Orange Day Lilies was edited in Photoshop CS5. The brightness was decreased and the contrast was increased. Following this effect, the flowers were isolated in color, while the rest of image was turned into black and white.

Gaussian Blur & Saturation

The same photograph of the Orange Day Lilies was edited in Photoshop CS5. Both the vibrance and saturation were dramatically increased, and a gaussian blur was added as an effect surrounding the flowers.
